Why is the app empty after installation?
OtusTV provides no content. Add a source you already have in Réglages (Settings), such as a Jellyfin, Emby or Plex server, an M3U playlist or a compatible IPTV subscription. You can use one source for free.
How can I enter a long source address?
In Settings, use the option to set up OtusTV from your phone. Open the address shown by the app on a device on the same local network, then enter the code and fill in the form. Alternatively, when a text field is selected on the TV, the iPhone’s Apple TV Remote opens a keyboard where you can paste.
“Password not found for…”
The subscription is saved, but its password is missing from the Keychain. This can happen after a restore. Enter it again in Réglages (Settings), on the affected subscription’s row.
A channel will not play
The server may refuse the stream because the subscription has expired or its simultaneous connection limit has been reached. Réglages → État de la source (Settings → Source status) shows the server’s response, including the number of active connections.
Playback freezes, then catches up
A 4K film needs a steady connection. If the connection weakens, the buffer empties. Try Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi, or select a lower-quality stream if your source offers one.
The picture looks dim in movies
Check that Réglages → Basculer le téléviseur en HDR (Settings → Switch the TV to HDR) is turned off. The fallback player does not output a true HDR signal: in HDR mode, the picture is mapped to around 100 nits, making it darker instead of improving it.
How do I hide adult categories?
They are already hidden by default throughout the app and hidden again at every launch. Revealing them requires a four-digit code you choose, stored in the system Keychain.
Why is the TV guide empty?
Your subscription’s or playlist’s own guide loads automatically when available. You can add or replace an XMLTV address in Réglages (Settings). Not every channel is included: channels are matched by identifier, or otherwise by name.
How do I remove my data?
Remove your sources and their passwords in Settings. Uninstalling removes local settings and cache, but Keychain or iCloud data may remain. See the privacy policy for details.
How do I link my Plex server?
Settings → Ajouter une source → Serveur Plex. Open plex.tv/link on a phone or computer and enter the code shown.
The picture drops out on 4K or Full HD channels
These streams need a steady connection. Use Ethernet rather than Wi-Fi. On Apple TV, swipe down during playback and open “Signal”: it tells you whether your connection keeps up. Turn on “Mémoire tampon renforcée” (larger buffer) in Settings. If your source offers another quality, try it.
The download button doesn’t appear
Downloads are available on iPhone and iPad for movies and episodes from a Jellyfin, Emby or Plex server. They aren’t offered for IPTV subscriptions, playlists or live channels.
The guide only shows a few hours
The free version shows what’s on now and the next three hours. The full grid, catch-up and reminders come with OtusTV+.

Settings → “Restaurer mes achats” (Restore Purchases). One purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Apple TV with the same Apple Account.
